Accounts Receivable Specialist I
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist I you will be responsible for facilitating the timely and accurate collection and application of customer payments and collaborating with other members of the Arcwood team to strategically maintain and grow the organization's financial position. Ideal candidates for this role will be detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and embody the skills needed to tackle tough challenges.

Essential Functions & Requirements:

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
• Performs cash and credit management functions including customer collections calls, cash application, processing credit card transactions and researching and resolving payment issues and discrepancies
• Creates, updates, and reviews customer setups, line of credit limitations, payment terms, credit status and contact information within ERP system
• Provides daily reports on accounts receivable and collections activity to leadership for review
• Maintains and provides information to leadership to initiate next steps for delinquent customers including demand letters, interruption of service, and legal action
• Effectively communicates with internal stakeholders and customers
• Maintains and updates standard operating procedure documents and training records as appropriate
• Assists in establishing team and personal goals and consistently strives to achieve determined metrics
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred)

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in an office environment (required)
• 1+ years of experience within accounts receivable/collections (preferred)

Competencies:

• Detail-oriented with a passion for maintaining accuracy
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability influence, negotiate and to boldly tackle tough challenges and escalate issues
• Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and accounting software
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work with minimal direction
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
