Analyst, Strategy Acceleration
As an Analyst, Strategy Acceleration you will be instrumental in driving high-impact growth and efficiency initiatives at Arcwood Environmental. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Strategy Acceleration you will collaborate with operations, commercial teams, and functional departments on a variety of strategic initiatives including operational and commercial excellence, organizational redesign, post-merger integration, and digital transformation.

You will be responsible for owning parts of high-impact cross-functional projects as part of the broader Strategy and Transformation team. You will leverage best-practice project and change management approaches to drive value-creating initiatives. The ambition for the Strategy and Transformation team is to become a career catalyst for high-potential future leaders by creating opportunities to engage with various parts of the business, work on high-impact projects, and actively contribute to the company's strategic direction.

Keys to success in this transversal role is a strong ability to contribute insights and recommendations, build trust-based relationships, and collaborate effectively with leaders and teams across the company.

Essential Functions & Requirements:

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Contributes to, owns, and drives workstreams within high-impact projects across the organization, including assigned Company Full Potential Plan (FPP) initiatives, post-merger integration (PMI), reorganization, pricing, and digital transformation
  • Analyzes large, complicated, and sometimes noisy data sets to find actionable business insights; provides fact-based recommendations based on analyses and aligns with stakeholders on path forward
  • Analyzes and recommends improvements to key business work processes, including identifying the current state, pain points, opportunities for improvement, and utilizes data-driven feedback loops to develop recommendations for a future state with implementation and change management plans
  • Drives workstreams using best-practice project and change management approaches, creating sustainable value creation outcomes
  • Supports the Vice President, Strategy Acceleration in prioritizing high-impact projects aligned with resource deployment, corporate strategies, and FPP goals
  • Identifies incremental value-creating opportunities, flagging them to the Vice President, Strategy Acceleration and incorporating them into the prioritized portfolio
  • Flags shortfalls, risks, or roadblocks identified in value-creating projects to Strategy and Transformation leadership and recommends remediation plans to recover lost value or address delayed implementation timelines
  • Tracks and provides regular reporting on project statuses to the Strategy and Transformation team and senior leadership
  • Delivers measurable EBITDA impact through assigned projects focused on operational efficiency, commercial performance, functional optimization, and organizational agility
  • Maintains the ability to travel 25-50% of the time to non-HQ locations (operating sites, customers, Arcwood offices, etc.) for in-person collaboration and specific efforts
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • MBA (preferred)

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience leading workstreams in high-impact environments (required)
  • Previous experience working as part of a high-impact, high-performing agile team (required)
  • Demonstrated experience with and proficiency in data analytics tools including Excel (required)
  • Advanced analytics and statistics capabilities including R, Python and Power BI (preferred)
  • Experience in the environmental services industry or in industrial production and process industries (preferred)

Competencies:

  • Ability to contribute to high-impact projects, ideally owning workstreams within the projects, and delivery of tangible results
  • Strong ability to support large complex projects including coordinating across stakeholders, prioritizing tasks, executing own work
  • Strong ability to work with large, complicated, potentially disjointed / noisy data including gathering, analyzing, and interpreting into actionable insights
  • Ability to maintain an independent perspective of what is best for the organization to drive successful outcomes across various stakeholder points of view
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
