IT Project Manager
As an IT Project Manager you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of complex IT projects supporting multiple functions within the organization. Projects pertain to the delivery of timely, quality IT services and/or relate to improving business effectiveness and efficiency.

In this role, you will provide input into the creation of the project budgets and will manage the project scope and schedule. In addition, you will be responsible for managing appropriate stakeholders and communicating as needed the progress to project planning and any potential issues negatively impacting the desired outcome.

Essential Functions & Requirements:

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Assumes responsibility of the Company's systems and network infrastructure projects to ensure deliverables are stable, available and reliable to meet the goals and objectives of the business
  • Partners with project sponsors to define objectives, scope, schedule and budget; establishes project charter and plan, including success criteria
  • Leads and directs project teams to meet project objectives within budget and schedule
  • Identifies and negotiates schedules, milestones, and resources required to meet project objectives and success criteria
  • Interacts with all levels of the organization to visualize and understand IT-related issues and provide competent solutions
  • Recommends new technologies and systems that seek to improve the overall organization
  • Regularly partners with other IT team members, consultants, programmers, etc. both within and outside of the organization as needed
  • Coordinates with client departments and stakeholders to complete systems testing, installation, training, and support
  • Stays informed of advances in technology and project management processes and tools
  • Provides reporting and relevant project status updates to departmental and organizational leaders
  • Coaches and mentors project team members and/or others in project management roles as appropriate
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field (required)
  • PMP Certification (preferred)

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in IT technical support (required)
  • 5+ years of experience in project management (required)
  • Previous experience with VOIP deployment (preferred)

Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong creative-thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues independently
  • Excellent ability to manage projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Strong sense of accountability with the ability to make sound decisions and maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to gain alignment across different stakeholders to find a common view
  • Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
