Sales Specialist, Technical Services
As the Sales Specialist, Technical Services you will be responsible for providing technical expertise during the sales process with existing or potential customers. This role will combine technical knowledge and sales acumen to assist customers in selecting the best solutions for their waste disposal needs.

Essential Functions & Requirements:

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
• Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and Company safety policies and regulations; conducts regular safety meetings and provides health and safety plans for job sites, including designating personal protective equipment (PPE) specifications for each job
• Manages field projects by providing clients with progress updates and addressing any technical questions received
• Stays abreast of regulatory guidelines and provides relevant information to clients and project managers for each job; maintains records required by regulatory agencies
• Compiles key technical components of projects into reporting and utilizes technical knowledge to create proposals
• Responds to customer inquiries by phone or in writing regarding waste approval, disposal and pricing; utilizes sales strategies and technical knowledge to respond to new customer inquiries and consult on Company technical service offerings
• Partners with internal and external stakeholders to develop successful waste disposal solutions for new and existing customers
• Maintains the ability to travel up to 50%, with some overnights
• Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization

Education:

• Bachelor's degree (required); focus within a science-related field (preferred)

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience within the hazardous / non-hazardous waste industry (required)
• Knowledge of waste industry market and value-add services (required)

Competencies:

• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations pertaining to the environmental services industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong business writing and proposal development capabilities
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, Power BI and Teams
• Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
