Senior Director, Marketing
The Senior Director, Marketing will partner directly with the Vice President, Marketing to develop and execute the organization's integrated marketing strategy within the environmental services industry. This role will drive growth initiatives, manage the internal marketing team and oversee outputs provided by the external creative agency.

The Senior Director will play a key role in ensuring alignment of marketing efforts with organizational goals, building performance metrics and optimizing the marketing function for scale.


Essential Functions & Requirements:

Strategic Execution

  • Translates organizational strategy into a clear marketing roadmap identifying key branding, positioning, campaign and partnership opportunities
  • Owns brand architecture and leads campaign planning, execution and measurement for digital, social, events and content; ensures clear and consistent messaging across all channels
  • Acts as a thought partner for senior leadership on marketing-driven growth opportunities

Marketing Operations

  • Establishes the marketing operations discipline including dashboards, analytics, ROI tracking, and martech stack oversight in partnership with data analytics team members
  • Fosters a culture of continuous improvement by implementing and supporting initiatives related to A/B testing, audience segmentation and experimentation
  • Manages budget oversight, vendor agreements and resource allocation to deploy the most efficient and cost-effective marketing strategies

Team Leadership & Development

  • Provides leadership and oversight of marketing team members focused on content and digital marketing, events and partnerships and general marketing coordination
  • Mentors and develops a high-performing team and fosters a culture of innovation, accountability and data-driven decision making
  • Serves as the primary internal liaison to the external creative agency; sets briefs, reviews deliverables, manages budgets and timelines and ensure creative outputs align with brand
  • Maintains the ability to travel to other Arcwood locations or external events as needed, up to 15% of the time

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or related field (required)

Experience:

  • 8+ years of marketing experience (required); within a B2B, nonprofit or services-driven environment (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience managing a marketing team and agency relationships (required)

  • Strategic Execution & Growth:
    • Increase marketing-influenced pipeline growth by 15-25% in first 12 months
    • Improve MQL > SQL conversion by 10-15%
    • Increase Share of Voice by 5-10%
  • Digital Performance & ROI
    • Establish baseline for email campaign engagement and improve by 10-15% in 12 months
    • Increase website traffic and SEO performance; increase organic traffic by 10-15% YoY and improve engagement by 10-20%
    • Establish baseline for digital ROI and achieve positive ROI by end of year
  • Campaign & Brand Effectiveness
    • Ensure 80% of campaigns meet or exceed success metrics
    • Reduce off-brand materials by 90%
    • Ensure 95% of assets delivered by agency are on time with two or less rounds of revisions
  • Marketing Operations & Efficiency
    • Launch marketing dashboard within 90 days and ensure 95% on-time monthly reporting
    • Maintain +/-3% budget variance
    • Ensure 90%+ adoption of standardized workflows within six months

Competencies:

  • Strong digital literacy including marketing automation, CRM/email, analytics, social and content strategy
  • Excellent strategic-thinking skills with the ability to provide hands-on leadership to execution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Strong ability to drive change within a dynamic environment
  • Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
