Vice President, Digital Transformation
Arcwood Environmental is undergoing a bold digital reinvention as it scales operations and accelerates growth. As a private equity-backed leader in hazardous waste management, Arcwood seeks an experienced and visionary Vice President, Digital Transformation to lead the evolution of its enterprise-wide digital strategy.
This executive will serve as both strategist and architect - driving modernization, enabling innovation, and aligning digital capabilities to Arcwood's operational priorities. Leading a high-performing team of enterprise architects and transformation specialists, the Vice President will guide the execution of initiatives such as M&A integration, IT portfolio governance, enterprise platform modernization, and the activation of new digital capabilities. The Vice President will also serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, shaping the organization's strategic roadmaps and accelerating digital value delivery.
Essential Functions & Requirements:
Transformation Execution & Program Leadership
- Develops and delivers a forward-looking digital roadmap aligned with enterprise business objectives
- Leads execution of major digital initiatives, including M&A integration, platform modernization, and new cross-functional digital capability launches
- Oversees the enterprise PMO and governance of cross-functional digital programs, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with measurable ROI
- Manages IT budgets, partner performance, value creation, and internal capacity to enable efficient and scalable digital execution
Portfolio & Capability Planning
- Guides modernization of the enterprise technology portfolio, ensuring alignment with business value and strategic priorities
- Embeds enterprise architecture best practices into project planning, agile delivery, and lifecycle governance
Enterprise Engagement & Influence
- Acts as a strategic interface between IT and business leaders, ensuring alignment, transparency, and collaboration on digital initiatives
- Provides insight-driven, architecture-informed recommendations to support decision-making
- Drives organization-wide adoption of architectural standards and enterprise thinking
Strategy & Architecture Leadership
- Aligns architecture strategy and governance models with business goals that support agility, scalability, and growth
- Develops future-state reference architectures across application, infrastructure, data, and security domains
- Translates strategic business objectives into actionable technology roadmaps and architecture principles
- Establishes and continuously evolves enterprise architecture processes, governance models, and engagement frameworks
Innovation Enablement
- Identifies and assesses emerging technologies and market trends with the potential to create enterprise value
- Partners with business leaders to explore new business models and capabilities powered by digital advancements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, engineering, business or a related field (required)
- Master's degree or MBA (preferred)
Experience:
- 12+ years of progressive IT experience with 5+ years in digital strategy or transformation leadership roles, preferably in heavily regulated industries (required)
- Demonstrated experience creating and overseeing enterprise digital PMO and driving digital programs with measurable impact (required)
- Previous experience leading enterprise-level architecture (required)
- Previous experience supporting M&A IT due diligence and post-close integration (required)

Competencies:
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, data analytics, cloud migration, software development and systems management
- Strong understanding of cloud architectures, integration platforms, data ecosystems, and modern delivery models (Agile, DevOps)
- Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
